Home business requirements?

Here's the thing. I'm 16, I love to bake, and not to sound conceited, but I'm good at it. I was attempting to set up a small home bakery business- like the real thing, where I'd sell cupcakes, cakes, cookies etc. I was wondering what legal requirements there were, like if there was a certain profit range or a certain amount of business at which I needed to get insurance and needed to have my kitchen approved, stuff like that.
